Danaher Corporation announced today that its quarterly earnings conference call for Third Quarter 2004 results has been scheduled for Thursday, October 21, beginning at 8:00 a.m. Eastern Time and lasting approximately 1 hour. The call will be simultaneously webcast live via Danaher's website at http://www.danaher.com/ with an accompanying slide presentation.

Danaher's earnings press release for the 2004 third quarter and its 10-Q for the 2004 third quarter will be available prior to the call on Danaher's website beginning at 6:00 a.m. Eastern Time. In addition, the supplemental financial and statistical information referenced in the conference call will be located in the "Investor Relations" section of Danaher's website prior to the call.

A replay of the call will be available on Danaher's website later that day. There will also be a replay of the call available by telephone through Monday, October 25 shortly after the conclusion of the live call.
