Danaher Corporation announced today that it has acquired the Aerospace division of Special Devices, Inc. Revenues of the Aerospace division were approximately $20 million in 2000. Additional terms of the sale were not disclosed.

The Special Devices, Inc. Aerospace division is a leader in pyrotechnic initiators, safe-and-arm, and arm-fire devices. The business complements Danaher's Pacific Scientific Energetic Materials Co., located in Chandler, AZ., a leader in the design, development, qualification, and production of pyrotechnic and propellant actuated devices.
